Distance: each of us rode 221 KMS/137 MILES from Vanderpole, Texas to San Marcos, Texas
Cumulative distance for trip: 2544 kms/1580 miles over 12 days [over halfway there!!]
Total altitude climbed today [i.e. total climbs not including downhills]: 8,470 feet
Calories expended during ride: JEFF 6414/KEVIN 5997
Weather: overcast but with winds at our back or side for 80% of the day [first time the whole trip we had the winds in our favour!!]

Although there still was some fairly large climbs, there was also some great flats and rolling sections.

We were on rolling, rural backroads for most of the day and saw some pretty neat old buildings


Conversing on the route. We went farther than planned today so we could get closer to Austin and our meeting with the Lance Armstrong Foundation and local media on the 17th
