The beautiful Arizona landscape. One of the people we dedicated the ride to today was John Curtis who's nickname was Cactus. We thought of him each time we saw them today.

One of the many "hills" we climbed today. 8,060 vertical feet with the next two days being even more!

Two stylist guys if I do say so!!!

2 of the things that make this trip of 100-150 miles of bicycling per day happen is our support crew who 1) have our meals ready in the RV once we are finished and 2) the massage at the end of the day!! [yes our muscles are sore!]

The next two days [January 9th & 10th] are the toughest during the 24 days from a climbing perspective as we climb over the Continental Divide going over 8,400 feet at one point [each horizontal line is 1,000 feet]. When we told the local people tonight our route they questioned our sanity of not using a more direct, less painful route!! [we are wondering ourselves!!]
