Cumulative distance for trip: 1855 kms/1152 miles over 9 days
Total altitude climbed today [i.e. total climbs not including downhills]: 9,800 feet [HUGE! And most was above 4,500 feet elevation!]
Calories expended during ride: JEFF 6025/KEVIN 5058
Weather: sunny 30-60 degrees

Daybreak in the Texas highlands; little did we know the winds would just about knock us off our bikes!


The route we are taking, takes us through small town America. Fort Davis was a very quaint town along the way.


We should have known something was up with the winds when we saw all the windmills!


Finally finished in Marathon; brutal day!
