SOME SPECIAL THANK YOU'S

There are just too many people to thank individually on this update, and as such, we will be following up with an individual thank you to many of you over the next few weeks.

We did however want to public thank some special people and organizations without whose support the Coast to Coast ride for Cancer simply would not have happened.

To our corporate sponsors thank you so much for your donations to the charities. To Bonham & Co. your generous donation helped us off set many of the costs of this event. To NexInnovations and Tech Data your Gold sponsorship helped raise almost $50,000 for the two charities. And to Compaq, DMR Canada, Dannon, and the Waitt Family Foundation your silver and bronze sponsorship donations helped us immensely with our fund raising efforts.

To our support team, what can we say besides WOW! Kenn Rushton for the first half, and Erik Jensen and Alison Wallace for the second half, your tireless dedication to driving the RV and keeping us safe, cleaning, shopping, and general all around "do whatever it takes" attitude allowed us to focus on our mission of riding our bikes and raising money for cancer. To Jennifer Currie, your food & nutritional help, your digital photography, and your nightly massages & muscle stretching made it possible for us to turn the cranks an average of over 125 miles per day. To Chrissy McQuire, your continuous video recording will make a great lasting memory of the trip, and will create a great story as part of Ride Guide's 13 part series on our Coast to Coast adventure beginning in June of this year. [note: each segment is 2-3 minutes, and Ride Guide is a program on Outdoor Life Network]. To Laura Poce, Ron Mitchell, and Ira Kargel your behind the scenes support with media and public relations created great television, radio and newspaper coverage throughout the trip including the great final day coverage when we got in USA Today. And to Fredrik Carlberg, Scott Graham, and Ashley Kirk of The Boomerang Group who created this fantastic website, what can we say!! Your talent allowed the Coast-to-Coast for Cancer event to create a cancer support community that we hope is just the start of something much bigger.

To all the people who submitted a dedication and to the people we dedicated each day to we want to add a special thank you. When we came up with the idea of the daily dedication to acknowledge the impact cancer is having on families we had no idea how those daily dedications would actually help us as we rode. There were several days when we both looked up to the sky and asked the person we were riding for to give us strength to finish our miles. [or on one memorable day to get through the food poisoning!] Unless we experienced it, we would not have believed the mental focus and physical power this gave to us. Whether it was riding on day one for James Richard the little 6 year old boy who recently succumbed to cancer, or Peter Damianakis the couragous 2 year old battling cancer, or Kyra Vitko, the 12 year old whose outlook on life is inspirational, or Phil Sinardi who took our dedication and created an entire fundraising event on his day that raised $7,000, or any of the other 40 people we rode for. Each and every person's story meant so much to us.

To all the people who have been following us, providing encouragement and making personal or corporate donations to the charities, your support has meant so much to this trip and to each of us personally.

To the riders who came down from 1 to 6 days to ride with us thanks! [Hamish, Scott, Neil, Ruth, Fredrik, Jamie, Ian, Leslie] The extra effort to make the trip sometimes thousands of miles was a big boost for the two of us.

Finally, we want to add a special thanks to our families whose love and support made this trip possible. To Diane, a special thank you for doing the daily inspirations which seemed so perfectly timed for each and everyday.
