Type of Cancer: Secondary Liver/pancreatic cancer resulting from breast cancer

Initially diagnosed and treated for breast cancer. But 4 years later a secondary cancer appeared in liver/pancreas. Chemo was unable to arrest. Mom succumbed to cancer on January 3 1995

My mother loved her garden. Whether on the family farm (west of Virden) or when Mom and Dad retired to live in Virden Mom always had a fabulous display of flowers of many varieties, and a vegetable garden compared to none.

Lowlights: (Moments of courage, digging deep within) Hearing the initial news, discussing the treatment, observing the impact of the treatment, discussing arrangements for the end, saying goodbye. Through it all my Mother thought of her children, she always prepared us
