Madelaine was positive throughout her treatments and kept a good morale. She had a great sense of humour

Despite having two sisters who passed away from cancer before her, she tried very courageously to focus on things other than her illness and kept her spirits up. When we visited her, she was full of questions, and interested in everything happening in our lives. She did not want us to focus on her illness, and tried to de-emphasize it as much as possible.
