My GP was very proficient in picking up some
very early warning signs. He rushed me through the medical system
in record time. From my initial visit, through all the required
testing and the actual operation by a specialist occurred in 3
weeks! That was last June 11th and I am happy to report that my
regular 3 month check-ups have confirmed no further problems.
For those peers at Fujitsu Consulting that Ive
worked with, theyve come to know that I have a good sense
of humuor. On the day that I was diagnosed, my wife and I looked
back at all the great experiences and memories weve shared
through the years. With tears in her eyes, she conveyed that "she
was just sick thinking about the future". I responded that
"if she felt sick, imagine how the hell I felt"? We
both laughed and made a promise to face this adversary with a
positive attitude!
The most stressful time for me was the initial follow-up tests
after surgery. I was one of the lucky ones that didnt need
to progress to chemotherapy.
Current Status:
1 year Cancer Free!
Favourite Activity(s) now:
I have always been a great lover of the Canadian outdoors and
I value my time spent there even more.
