Mother of 3 Grandmother of 7 Great-Grandmother of 11 Great-Great Grandmother of 1. Grandma was diagnosed with breast cancer in February of 96. She had a mastectomy and lived cancer-free until September 2001, when she was diagnosed with bone cancer. She died in June of 2002. She finished the 10th grade & was a Rosie the Riveter during WWII, working for Beechcraft in Wichita, KS. She retired from Alliance Insurance Company in 1980. Rita actively sewed, quilted, crocheted, spoiled her grandchildren and made the best fried chicken in the world. She maintained a fantastic attitude and sense of humor despite the challenges she faced. She is greatly missed.
