Sarah is a daughter
Sarah is a sister
Sarah is a runner
Sarah is a triathalete
Sarah is a friend to many and a best friend to me
Sarah is a warrior
Sarah is a survivor
Having been diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer
at the tender age of 24, Sarah was forced to summon all of her
strength, determination and will to survive towards fighting the
biggest battle of her life.
After a long, grueling and at times seemingly
endless journey, Sarah was finally rewarded with the greatest
honour this decorated athlete and scholar had ever received-a
graduation from cancer.Sarahs successful escape from Cancerland
has reinvigorated her spirit and given her a renewed sense of
purpose. This reawakening has led her to set her sights in a new
direction towards finding a cure for cancer. Following
this new path, Sarah has recently transitioned from her corporate
job to a new career with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
In this new role, her combination of forward thinking and alluring
personality promises to inspire and motivate a whole new generation
of supporters who will take up the fight against Cancer.
When she says she will find a cure to Cancer,
she means it!
Because Sarah is so many things to so many people, it is difficult
to measure the true impact shes had on peoples lives.
She is a person that radiates energy from every
pore. She is the person in a room that you cant take your
eyes off, but when she is talking to you her eyes never
falter and for that one precious moment, you are the center
of her world.
For these reasons and so many more too numerous
to list, wed like you to dedicate a section of this race
to our friend, our motivation, our inspiration-Sarah Ray.
