back
to dedications
I would like you to dedicate a 100k leg to my
beautiful wife Katherine who at age 35, was recently diagnosed
with a grade III malignant brain tumour. In the last six month
she has courageously undergone 1 brain biopsy, 2 major surgery's
and 5 weeks of radiation at Princess Margaret Hospital. She is
set to start chemotherapy next week. And we are hopeful that this
will stop any further progression of her cancer. There are over
10,000 brain tumour cases reported in Canada each year, half benign
and half cancerous. Very little is know why or how this happens
to people with no prior history of cancer in there families. That
said, Canada and in particular the Montreal Neurological Hospital,
is leading the world in brain tumour research, in conjunction
with the human genome project at McGill. Although today there
is no cure, there is much hope. You guys are a true inspiration
to those directly and indirectly impacted by this devastating
disorder. Thanks from myself and our three boys, Cameron, Adam
and Nicholas.
